Victory High School’s Ribbon Cutting Success

with Eileen Bedinghaus and RE/MAX Metro

On January 4th of 2021, RE/MAX Metro’s own Eileen Bedinghaus joined Florida Recovery Schools of Tampa Bay to welcome Tampa Bay’s very first recovery high school! Eileen is the chairperson for the organization and a proud agent of RE/MAX Metro. Through her efforts with Florida Recovery Schools of Tampa Bay, Eileen and the team were able to launch Victory High School in New Port Richey. This recovery high school will provide mental health services, recovery support, and education for teenagers ages 14 to 19.

Founder and Executive Director Tina Levene launched Florida Recovery Schools of Tampa Bay to meet the needs of teenagers suffering from addiction and trauma. Many of the students who suffered trauma abuse substances as an escape and to numb the pain. Victory High School will serve as a way for them to become rehabilitated through restoration, revival, and the rebuilding of creativity. “We actually empower students that are struggling with addictions and we provide recovery support, mental health services, and education,” said Tina. “We think there’s a great need for this in our community.”

In addition to a high school education, students of Victory High School will learn various methods to express themselves and work through difficult thoughts, feelings, and memories. Students have access to expressive art therapy, yoga, fitness classes, performing arts classes, culinary arts, and so on. These activities will help the students to discover their gifts and talents so they can share them with the world.

Victory High School is a non-profit private school. This means they’re completely reliant on incredible donors like Bay Care, Turning Point of Tampa, and RE/MAX Metro. Because the school is still in the beginning stages of its development, Tina and the team are still looking for donations to keep the momentum going. It costs $25 a day to educate a Victory High School student - and any amount can help!

RE/MAX Metro is proud to support Eileen, Tina, and the Florida Recovery Schools of Tampa Bay.
